Zach Richards is an internationally award winning law author and founder.

Prior to his academic career, Dr Richards practised as a lawyer, clerked for a judge at the Supreme Court NSW and worked as Legal Policy Advisor for the Australian Federal Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship. He holds a PhD in Human Rights Law (2017) with an Australian Postgraduate Award Research Fellowship Scholarship at the University of Oxford.

TEACHING

Zach Richards has nearly 15 years experience lecturing thousands of law students across multiple law subjects as part of dynamic university teaching teams. He has taught widely across the Priestley 11 LLB and JD programs and is passionate about student learning and wellbeing across the board.

SCHOLARSHIP

Zach Richards' book Responsive Legality: The New Administrative Justice is available in leading bookstores  and university law libraries in over 100 countries worldwide. He has published in numerous  leading academic journals and worked with law colleagues on collaborative projects with various organisations such as the United Nations, Amnesty International and government think tanks. 

COMMUNITY AND BUSINESS

Zach Richards has served on multiple community and university boards and leadership committees. 

He is the Founder of The Australian College of Law and Justice and Law Tuition Academy, addressing the problem of overwhelming law student stress and anxiety and empowering law students across Australia and internationally to thrive through online skills based courses. He is the first Australian Member of Founders Club USA, and in 2025 was the National Co-Ordinator of Entrepreneur Club Australia.
